Collection: Massaya
Massaya represents the essence of Lebanon modern days.
Founded by brothers Ramzi and Sami Ghosn on May 27, 1998, Massaya has become one of the leading producers, the result of a partnership with French producers Dominique Hébrard (co-owner of Château Cheval Blanc) and Daniel Brunier (Le Vieux Télégraphe / Châteauneuf-du-Pape).
A rich and troubled history, started by patriarch Michel Ghosn who, with his family, had to abandon the property due to the civil war. It was only later in the 1990s that the Ghosn brothers were able to regain possession of it after it had been unduly occupied.
Massaya's success came most quickly through its iconic blue-bottled arak.
The distinctive style is in the DNA of this producer, which allows them to offer a range of wines marked by quality, with four reds, one white and one rosé. All produced with respect for nature, authentic organic and natural wines.
For the future, Massaya will continue to innovate and the new Massaya Faqra project will mark this path until 2025 and is based on key principles such as preparing vineyards and grapes for climate change, producing whites at a higher altitude and further defining the Lebanese terroir.
